Trump’s Bitcoin NFT Collection: Exclusive Cards Spark Excitement

Donald Trump has entered the Bitcoin Ordinals space with a highly exclusive NFT collection, marking his fifth NFT release. This latest venture highlights Trump’s evolving presence in the crypto world as his digital collectibles continue to attract attention.

Trump’s Bitcoin Ordinals Debut

The newly minted collection, named “Trump Bitcoin Digital Trading Cards,” consists of just 119 cards inscribed on Bitcoin’s Ordinals protocol. However, these cards aren’t available to everyone. Only those who purchased 100 cards from the January 2024 “Mugshot Edition” of Trump NFTs are eligible to claim these exclusive items.

The claim period for these cards remains open until January 31, 2025, with minting occurring on the leading NFT marketplace, Magic Eden. As of now, 31% of the collection—37 cards—have been minted.

Eye-Catching Prices on Magic Eden

The exclusivity of Trump’s Bitcoin NFTs has driven impressive market activity. Several of the cards are listed on Magic Eden, with prices starting at 0.177 BTC (approximately $16,500) and reaching as high as 20 BTC (about $1.8 million).

Trump’s NFT collections have been known to attract significant attention, but this Bitcoin Ordinals debut represents a unique move, tying Trump’s brand with the rapidly growing Ordinals ecosystem.

Previous NFT Success Stories

Trump’s first NFT collection, launched in December 2022, saw tremendous success. Data from CryptoSlam reveals that it has generated over $24 million in sales volume and boasts more than 14,000 owners.

In January 2024, the “Mugshot Edition” was released as Ethereum-based NFTs on the Polygon network. This collection, which had over 6,500 holders, sold well. These NFTs set the stage for Trump’s foray into Bitcoin Ordinals.

However, not all his releases fared equally well. The “America First” collection in August 2024, which included perks like VIP dinners and limited-edition physical items, failed to gain significant traction.

A New Era for Trump NFTs?

This latest Bitcoin-based collection signifies Trump’s willingness to explore new crypto innovations. By tying these cards to Bitcoin Ordinals, he taps into the growing interest in Bitcoin-based NFTs while creating an exclusive market for loyal supporters of his earlier offerings.

Final Thoughts

With just 119 cards and sky-high prices, Trump’s Bitcoin NFT collection caters to an elite audience. Whether this exclusive approach will further solidify his NFT legacy or alienate broader crypto enthusiasts remains to be seen. What’s clear, however, is that Trump’s ventures into the NFT space continue to make headlines and shape discussions in the digital asset world.
